Donate Blood and Get Pounds July 7

Be a hero and save a life! OneBlood’s Big Red Bus will be at the St. Cloud Veterans Memorial Library (810 13th St.) on July 7 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Face coverings must be worn to donate, if you don’t have one one will be provided. . Temperatures will be taken on arrival. If you feel unwell or have a fever, stay home and donate on another day. For more information or to find the next mobile donation site, visit OneBlood.org.

Also that day at the library, Friends of St. Cloud’s Library will be hosting their Summer Book Sale from 1-8 p.m., as well as July 8-9 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. This is a great opportunity to support your reading. habit and “friends” at the same time. Cash and credit cards are accepted.

Politics in the Barn Presented by the City of St. Cloud, St. Cloud Chamber and OUC, the Reliable One will be Wednesday, July 13 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the St. Cloud Community Center, 3101 17th St. This is an opportunity to meet and greet candidates, dine and participate in a straw poll. The fee is $20 for early birds (before July) and $30 after June 30. For tickets, register at www.stcloudflchamber.com.

Helping Hand Community Counseling (HHCC) will present a back-to-school extravaganza and giveaway on July 23 from 5-6:30 p.m. The group needs 10 more commercial sponsors to partner with them. The goal is to fill the backpacks with all the supplies the students need. The back-to-school extravaganza will take place at 305 Commerce Center Dr., behind the Wal-Mart and Home De3pot. In addition to school supplies, physical exams, children’s haircuts, games and snow cones will be on the agenda for the day.
